Counting your visitors is one of the first steps toward making your website
a valuable business tool. The best Webmasters keep logs, which show the
results of their link exchange and search engine registrations. In order
to find out what works best, you have to be able to measure the results
Digital Antiquaria can install counters in a matter of minutes
Here's a simple and discreet counter, which can be configured
in many different fonts, colors, and sizes. If you click on it, you'll go
right to the statistics page. You can see who the visitors were (IP address
or server name only), what they did, and how long they spent on your site.
This is a graphics counter with a fade-in feature, which can
be customized, too. There are dozens of these types of counters - some spin,
some flip, some even play the "Star Spangled Banner." The code
is all pretty much the same, and the set-up process is identical. Take
your pick!
Here's the Java-enabled version of the counter above. It will
also tell you where your visitors came from, so you can find out which of
your search engine registrations and link partners are delivering visitors.
